August 28th- Exponents

Hey guys! Today we had fun learning about exponents. We learned that exponents are shortcuts for repeated multiplication. We also learned the three exponent rules:

1) 1 to the power of anything is 1.
2) Anything to the power of 1 is itself.
3) Anything to the power of 0 is 1.

Learn them, you never know when it may come in handy! Hope you enjoyed working in your families today. We'll be doing a LOT of that this year.

Have a fabulous day- the three day weekend is almost here. Don't forget, supplies are due on Tuesday. (2 pencils, something to color with, binder paper, math journal, math binder, and five dividers.) Questions? See me or drop me an email at Alison_Vickery@sjusd.org

Ciao for now!
